Organized and funded by restaurant industry veterans Mark Bromberg, John Todd and Mark Scoular in partnership with other investors, Maven Capital Fund (“Maven”) intends to acquire and provide equity to mid-sized regional restaurant chains.

Mark Bromberg, Managing Partner

Mr. Bromberg is a Managing Partner of Maven Capital Management Group LLC, the Managing Partner of Maven Capital Fund LP. Mr. Bromberg is the Chairman and CEO of Apex Restaurant Group (www.apexrestaurants.com) and the former Chairman of Dallas-based Metromedia Restaurant Group, operators of Steak & Ale®, Bennigan’s® and Ponderosa® Restaurants. Prior to that he served as President of Apogee Hospitality Group and East Side Mario’s Restaurants (a subsidiary of PEPSICO) and was President and CEO of Toronto-based Prime Restaurant Group. Mr. Bromberg is a former Chairman of the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association and Director of the National Restaurant Association; he also serves on various industry advisory committees and boards.  mbromberg@mavencapital.com

Mark Scoular, Managing Partner

Mr. Scoular is a Managing Partner of Maven Capital Management Group LLC, the Managing Partner of Maven Capital Fund LP. Mr. Scoular is the COO of Apex Restaurant Group (www.apexrestaurants.com) and the former Executive Vice President of Metromedia Restaurant Group, operators of Steak & Ale®, Bennigan’s® and Ponderosa® Restaurants. Prior to Metromedia, Mr. Scoular worked with Apex Restaurant Group as an Advisor. Mr. Scoular has also served in executive positions with Quiznos®, Gateway Computer, Erskine Holdings and Eaton Financial.  mscoular@mavencapital.com

John Todd, Managing Partner

Mr. Todd is a Managing Partner of Maven Capital Management Group LLC, the Managing Partner of Maven Capital Fund LP. Mr. Todd has held several Senior Executive and Director Roles in the restaurant and other industries including his most recent role as Chief Operating Officer of Quiznos where he was responsible for the day to day operations of the 5,000 unit franchise company. Mr. Todd has held executive positions with Pizza Hut®, Metromedia Restaurant Group (Bennigan’s®, Steak & Ale® and Ponderosa/Bonanza Steakhouses®) as well as Boston Chicken®. He has also held executive positions with several companies outside of the food industry including Allied Signal, Sonicblue and Gateway Computer.
